Shadow's Penance

A passion project, many years in the making. This is the remastered (possibly final) version of the game. It is a 8-10 hour long linear JRPG made in RPG maker 2k3 with heavy focus on the story.

Story:

The war against magic is here. Grey and George are two brothers whose life turns upside down when their home gets destroyed by an organisation called New Dawn. Caught in the middle of the war, as Rhodya is splitting in two (between those who have magic blood and those who don't), Grey and George will discover that they have a bigger role to play. They decide to embark on a journey to stop New Dawn and find out the truth about their heritage and why their home was destroyed.

Gameplay:

-Fast paced JRPG with heavy focus on the story.

-Customizable party with classes.

-You can power up by gathering crystals by exploring and doing side-quests that add more to the story.

-No level-up system, no grinding required.

-An optional challenging mode for those who want a challenge.

-Humor and drama.

-Explosions.

-Even more explosions.

This version of the game is completely free. Reason for that is that there is some copyrighted material in it. There might be a remake or a sequel (or a prequel) in the future that might be a fully-fledged commercial game, who knows? But until then you can enjoy Shadow's Penance for free (yey!).
